Our museum’s regular 2024 tour season has concluded for the year. Please check back here or follow our social media for updates on next year’s tour season, which spans May to October.

Group Tours

During our tour season, no reservation is required for groups of fewer than 10 people. Groups of 10 or more are considered group tours and must have a reservation. Visit our Group Tours page for group rates and scheduling. Visit our School Groups page for information regarding school group tours.

Admission

Tours of the mansion are guided; admission to the Slave Quarters, which also houses the archaeological exhibit, gift shop, and restrooms, is free of charge.

Admission is always FREE for Royall House and Slave Quarters members.

We offer free admission to active duty military personnel and their families. Blue Star Museums is a program that offers free admission to museums for all active duty, National Guard, and Reserve military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We offer free admission to current or retired members of the Massachusetts Teachers Association upon presentation of a valid MTA card.

We offer discounted admission to EBT and WIC cardholders through the Mass Cultural Council’s Card to Culture program, offered in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the WIC Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector. Photography

Noncommercial still photography is permitted inside the Royall mansion and the Slave Quarters as well as on the grounds as long as it does not interfere with tours or other programs. “Selfie sticks,” tripods, and other similar accessories are not permitted indoors. Filming/videotaping is not allowed without specific prior permission.
